Peering is an interconnection of separated networks : each actor gives access to its network to the other.


Transit is a way for a small actor to buy access to a bigger actor.

  • Tier 1 : transit with other tier 1 actors.

  • Tier 2 : peering and transit from tier 1 actors.

  • Tier 3 : transit only
